Abstract

The purpose of this study was to “Comparative study of emotional intelligence team game and individual game at University level”. For this study, a total of 100 subjects (N=100) were chosen, Individual Game (n=50) and Team Game (n=50). The subjects were chosen using the Random sampling technique. Emotional intelligence was measured using questionnaire which was developed by Phillip L. Hun Saker. 2001 which contains 25 items with five sub-factors viz. Self-awareness, motivating oneself, Managing emotions, Empathy, and social skill. ANCOVA test was used to find the difference in Emotional Intelligence among Individual Game and Team Game players. The results showed that there is a significant difference in Emotional Intelligence, Self-awareness, managing emotions, empathy, social skills between Team Game Players and Individual games. And no difference was found when compared to motivating oneself among Individual games and team games.
