Abstract

A precise impression making in pediatric patient is one of the most challenging work in dental practice. Even though different types of impression materials are available in dentistry, they have certain limitations related to their property or with their process of working. In order to overcome these limitations and easy process of impression making and appliance fabrication digital dentistry came into market. This article reviews about the intraoral sensor (IOS), 3D printing technology and CAD-CAM system uses in pediatric dentistry.
