Nuclear cardiology has significantly evolved, introducing advanced techniques that enhance the diagnosis and management of ischemic heart disease (IHD). These innovations, including positron emission tomography (PET) and advanced single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) imaging, improve the accuracy of myocardial perfusion assessment and allow for the evaluation of myocardial viability.
